Conveyance
Under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Principal, Our school, Mary Matha English Medium has undertaken School Conveyance Services (SCS) as a community service programme, easing the daily tensions of the parent-community. SCS operates the bus fleet maintaining exceptional safety standards and strictly following the specifications and regulations laid by the Road Transport Authority. The fact that the Traffic Inspector of Man Taluka is an ex-officio member of the School Conveyance Committee adds to the authenticity of safety measures adopted.
SCS is managed by highly experienced professionals who have a long track record of safe transportation of students. SCS fleet of Mary Matha School includes 9 school buses and a four-wheeler, all up-to-date in fitness parameters. We offer our Conveyance Services up to a distance of 20 Kms. spanning around the boundaries of Nidhal – Khatav – Mayani – Ranand on all-four directions, across the Taluka limits of Man and Khatav.
Read to Lead
Our 1200 sq.ft library space caters absolutely to the reading needs of the students learning and growing here. Following Abraham Lincoln’s ideology: “Today A Reader; Tomorrow A Leader”, we allocate selected books belonging to a comprehensive array of genres viz., Multi-Linguistic Literature, History – Economics – Geology, Animation : Stories & Comics, Science – IT – General Updates & Magic – Logic – Mystery & Horror etcetera. Pleasant and well-ventilated reading space and comfy reading periods are arranged as per the norms of NCERT & MHRD. Regular CDF Tests, Debates, Quizzes & Exhibitions make our LIBRARY and READING ROOM a favourite hide-out of our students as they get exactly what is needed through Reference. Our collection of books is also updated every year, by 15%, with the recently published books all with the utmost precision in selection.
Our Library also features magazines – weekly, fortnightly and monthly. We are the regular subscribers of India Today, The Week, Readers’ Digest. Tell Me Why, National Geographic Traveller, Amar Chitra Katha, Champak, Tinkle & Magic Pot – thereby satisfying the updated reading requirements of our smark kids.
The reading corner also has daily newspapers in three languages: Pudhari (Marathi), Tarun Bharat (Hindi) and The New Indian Express (English).
Minds V/S Windows
The second arena in the re-designed LAB SECTION is where our Computer Lab is situated. 30 Pentium Class most modern Laptop with Network connectivity, projection and display facilities and comfortable seating arrangement are the highlights of our Computer Lab. BASIC, HTML and Binary Languages are what we train our students in, along with networking and web-browsing. Animation and Data Transferring are the special topics in which our future generation get educated in, in order to have a tech-savvy and tech-smart upbringing of the upcoming generation.
Computer or IT is not a just a subject for our students; we are aimed at creating a career in the field of IT for the very youth of the nation. Periodic assessment of Technical and Technological knowledge is ascertained to ensure exhibition of the learned knowledge and the possibilities of the same in practical life. Our students get the basics in fields of web-designing and apps-making during the school life itself.
“We see; we forget, We hear; we ignore, We Do; We Learn, Remember & Practice”, the same is the theory with which our skilled and qualified IT Staff deal with the learners here. Keeping up the zest and inducing curiosity are the techniques they adopt here. All real-time ONLINE competitive exams are also attended by many of our students from our Minds V/S Windows Corner.
Jr Kalams’ Corner
The renowned Lab section allocates its first arena for our sophisticated Science Lab. As per the guidelines of CBSE, ours is a Composite Lab wherein segments are specified for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. At Mary Matha, Laboratory is not just a matter of adding marks to learners but, indeed, it is a creative corner which blooms the scientific temper of the youngsters; it is where the enthusiasm of science aspirants are cherished as they get to explore themselves in the fields that attract them.
It is not an exaggeration to say that our senior students are always ready for any scientific competitions including Olympiads and ISRO’s annual tests, mainly because they have confidence in topics such as Energy, Kinematics, Dynamics, Space Technology and Bio-sphere. Jr Kalams’ Corner – as how we dub our Science Lab – is all set to create future Kalams: citizens who aim higher as sky.
To boost the observation skills of the kids, we have hundreds of biological slides and Glass-ware. To provide first class hands-on experimental experience, we present a multitude of chemicals and apparatus in addition to a wide array of biological specimen. Lecture space, Experiential space and Observation space are arranged along with wash basins and fire extinguishers for added safety of students. Robotics – in addition to Physics – is the latest addition in our Jr. Kalams’ Corner.
Campus
Mary Matha English Medium School, Pingli BK proudly boasts of being the most spacious school in the district of Satara with a sprawling, spectacular campus that spreads over a land area of 26304 m2. The double stair school building is uniquely designed in the most modern architectural style that accommodates well-ventilated 15 Class rooms – each in the shape of a hexagon – in addition to office space, open corridors, spacious lab area and creative corners.
